Concrete mixer trucks often have oil leakage during use, which will directly affect the technical performance of the car, lead to waste of lubricating oil and fuel, consume power, affect the cleanliness of the car, and cause environmental pollution.
Due to oil leakage and the reduction of lubricating oil inside the machine, the parts are poorly lubricated and insufficiently cooled, which will cause early damage to the parts and even leave hidden dangers of accidents.

1.The main reasons for common cement mixer truck oil leakage
① The quality, material or process of the product (accessories) is poor; there are problems with the structural design.
② Improper assembly speed, unclean matching surface, gasket damage, displacement or installation not in accordance with the operating procedures.
③ Uneven tightening force of the fastening nut, thread breakage or looseness and falling off lead to work failure.
④ After long-term use, the sealing material wears out too much, ages, deteriorates, and deforms and fails.
⑤ Too much lubricating oil is added, the oil level is too high or the wrong oil is added.
⑥ The joint surface of the parts (side covers, thin-walled parts) is flexed and deformed, and the shell is damaged, causing the lubricating oil to leak out.
⑦ After the vent plug and the one-way valve are blocked, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the box shell often causes oil leakage at the weak seal.

2.Measures to prevent oil leakage in concrete mixer trucks
① Pay attention to the role of gaskets. The gaskets between the parts of the stationary parts of the car (such as the joint end faces, end covers, shells, cover pads, flat enamel cover plates, etc.) play a role in leak-proof sealing. If the materials, production quality and installation do not meet the technical specifications, they will not play a role in sealing and leak-proofing, and even accidents may occur. For example, the oil pan or valve cover is not easy to compact due to the large contact area, which causes oil leakage.
② All kinds of fastening nuts on the car must be tightened according to the specified torque. If the gasket is not tightened too loosely, it will leak; if it is too tight, the metal around the screw hole will bulge or the thread will slip, causing oil leakage. In addition, if the oil pan drain plug is not tightened or loosened and falls off, it is easy to cause oil loss, and then the “burning tile and holding the shaft” machine damage accident will occur.
③ Replace the failed oil seal in time. Many moving parts on the car (such as oil seals and O-rings) will throw oil due to improper installation, misalignment between the journal and the oil seal edge, and eccentricity. Some oil seals will lose elasticity due to rubber aging after being used for too long. If leakage is found, it should be updated in time.
④ Avoid blockage of one-way valves and vent valves. This causes the temperature inside the box shell to rise, and the oil and gas fill the entire space and cannot be discharged, which increases the pressure inside the box shell, increases the consumption of lubricating oil, and shortens the replacement cycle. When the engine ventilation system is blocked, the movement resistance of the piston is increased, which increases fuel consumption. Due to the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the box shell, oil leakage often occurs at weak seals. Therefore, vehicles need to be inspected, unblocked, and cleaned regularly.
⑤ Properly solve the sealing of various oil pipe joints. The union nuts for vehicles are often disassembled and assembled, and they are easy to slip and break and loosen, which will cause oil leakage. Replace the union nuts and use the grinding method to solve the conical surface sealing, so that the nuts are pressed tightly to solve the sealing.
⑥ Avoid wheel hub oil throwing. Too much grease in the wheel hub bearing and cavity, or improper assembly of the oil seal, poor quality and aging failure; excessive hub temperature caused by frequent braking; loose axle nuts, etc. can all cause the wheel hub to throw oil. Therefore, the “cavity lubrication method (i.e. proper lubrication)” should be used to dredge the vent hole.
