Tank truck cleaning method
There are four methods for cleaning oil tanks, namely dry cleaning, wet cleaning, steam cleaning and chemical cleaning.

(I) Safety requirements and procedures for dry cleaning

  1. Remove oil from the tank;
  2. Ventilate and remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
  3. Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
  4. Dry cleaning with sawdust;
  5. Remove sawdust and use copper tools to remove local rust;
  6. Wipe thoroughly with a mop;
  7. Dry cleaning quality inspection and acceptance.

(II) Safety requirements and procedures for wet cleaning

  1. Remove oil from the tank;
  2. Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
  3. Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments
  4. Use 290~490Kpa high-pressure water to flush the oil and floating rust in the tank;
  5. Remove the flushing sewage as soon as possible and wipe it with a mop;
  6. Dehumidify with dry air;
  7. Use copper tools to remove local rust;
  8. Wet cleaning quality inspection and acceptance.

(III) Safety requirements and procedures for steam washing method

  1. Remove oil from the tank;
  2. Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
  3. Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
  4. Use steam cleaning, this method is mainly used to clean oil-sticky tanks;
  5. Use high-pressure water to flush oil, drain sewage, and dry clean with sawdust;
  6. Remove sawdust and use copper tools to remove local rust;
  7. Use the mop to thoroughly remove stolen goods;
  8. Inspect and accept the quality of tank washing

(IV) Safety requirements and procedures for chemical washing method

  1. Remove oil from the tank;
  2. Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration The concentration is within the safe range;
  3. Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
  4. Use a tank washer to spray water to flush the system and equipment;
  5. Pickle and remove rust for 90~120min;
  6. Remove the acid and rinse with clean water for about 20min to make the rinse liquid neutral;
  7. Remove the sewage and perform passivation treatment twice, the first time for about 3min and the second time for more than 8min;
  8. After passivation for 5~10min, rinse with 290Kpa pressure water for 8~12min;
  9. Remove the rinse water and wipe it with a mop;
  10. Ventilate and dry;
  11. Check and accept the quality of chemical tank washing.
