Tank truck cleaning method
There are four methods for cleaning oil tanks, namely dry cleaning, wet cleaning, steam cleaning and chemical cleaning.
(I) Safety requirements and procedures for dry cleaning
- Remove oil from the tank;
- Ventilate and remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
- Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
- Dry cleaning with sawdust;
- Remove sawdust and use copper tools to remove local rust;
- Wipe thoroughly with a mop;
- Dry cleaning quality inspection and acceptance.
(II) Safety requirements and procedures for wet cleaning
- Remove oil from the tank;
- Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
- Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments
- Use 290~490Kpa high-pressure water to flush the oil and floating rust in the tank;
- Remove the flushing sewage as soon as possible and wipe it with a mop;
- Dehumidify with dry air;
- Use copper tools to remove local rust;
- Wet cleaning quality inspection and acceptance.
(III) Safety requirements and procedures for steam washing method
- Remove oil from the tank;
- Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration to a safe range;
- Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
- Use steam cleaning, this method is mainly used to clean oil-sticky tanks;
- Use high-pressure water to flush oil, drain sewage, and dry clean with sawdust;
- Remove sawdust and use copper tools to remove local rust;
- Use the mop to thoroughly remove stolen goods;
- Inspect and accept the quality of tank washing
(IV) Safety requirements and procedures for chemical washing method
- Remove oil from the tank;
- Ventilate to remove oil and gas in the tank, and measure the oil and gas concentration The concentration is within the safe range;
- Personnel enter the tank to clean oil, water and other sediments;
- Use a tank washer to spray water to flush the system and equipment;
- Pickle and remove rust for 90~120min;
- Remove the acid and rinse with clean water for about 20min to make the rinse liquid neutral;
- Remove the sewage and perform passivation treatment twice, the first time for about 3min and the second time for more than 8min;
- After passivation for 5~10min, rinse with 290Kpa pressure water for 8~12min;
- Remove the rinse water and wipe it with a mop;
- Ventilate and dry;
- Check and accept the quality of chemical tank washing.
